SUBJECT:    Revisions to the UC San Diego Student Conduct Code

During Spring Quarter 2019, the Office of Student Conduct is proposed a
set of revisions to the UC San Diego Student Conduct Code. The proposed
changes were initially reviewed by the Student Conduct Standards Group.
Feedback was received from the greater campus community in an open
campus comment period and final changes were reviewed and approved by
Chancellor Khosla and the UC Office of the President.

The revisions were approved in December 2019 and were fully implemented
on June 29, 2020. You can find the Procedures at

Some of the key proposed changes include:

* More closely aligning the Code with the University of California
Policy on Student Conduct Discipline and reconstituting it as the
Student Conduct Procedures.

* Revising the process for appointing student members to the Community
Standards Board.

* Updating and clarifying the Interim Actions section to provide more
detailed information about the interim suspension process.
