In preparation for the upcoming academic year, the Academic Senate is hosting a town hall by webinar to provide you with updated information regarding the impact of COVID-19 on the campus.
The webinar, hosted by Senate Chair, Maripat Corr, and moderated by Senate Planning and Budget Chair Karen Oegema, will be devoted to campus financial strategy and budget issues with opening remarks by Chancellor Pradeep Khosla and Senate Chair Maripat Corr, a presentation by CFO Pierre Ouillet and questions fielded by EVC Simmons, CFO Ouillet, and other subject matter experts. It will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
A second town hall that is devoted to non-budget issues and plans for Fall quarter 2020, in local, state, and national contexts is being planned for the week of August 17. We will keep you informed on the date and time as they become available.
By virtue of the format there is limited interaction and we strongly encourage you to send your questions in advance so that the speakers and panelists are prepared to address the issues of concern to faculty. Please send questions to academicsenateoffice@ucsd.edu by COB Thursday, August 6.
