As you may be aware, the university has recently expanded access to self-administered testing via test-kit vending machines on campus. This is part of our effort to provide faculty and staff with regular and free access to COVID-19 testing as a key component of the Return to Learn strategy.
Unfortunately, we have learned that some staff and faculty have been misusing the self-administered tests.
In particular, some individuals have knowingly used their personal Active Directory (AD) login credentials to identify a sample which was actually collected from another individual—in most cases a family member or friend. This is a misuse of testing materials which poses a serious threat to public health and contact tracing efforts.

Staff or faculty who share their test kits with others or allow the use of their Active Directory (AD) login credentials or identity for another individual to receive COVID-19 testing will be subject to applicable university disciplinary processes.
