Update on W-2 Availability
This year, most employees at UC San Diego will receive two W-2s for 2020 earnings: one for pay checks received prior to June 2020 (before UCPath deployment) and one for paychecks received in June 2020 and after (post UCPath deployment.)
W-2s and 1095-C statements for 2020 earnings prior to UCPath deployment are available via AYSO. You should receive an email notification if you opted in for online delivery. For employees who did not select an electronic version, you will still be able to access the online version but a printed W-2 will also be mailed to your home address today. AYSO is also where employees should go to access historical Tax and Earnings Statements.
W-2s for earnings post UCPath deployment are available via the UCPath portal. If you opted-in for online delivery, you should receive an email notification from UCPath. For employees who did not select an electronic version, a printed W-2 will be mailed to the home address on file on Friday, January 29. The 1095-C statements for post-UCPath conversion will also be mailed to the home address. If you do not receive your 1095-C form, please contact the UCPath Center for a replacement.
UC does not send actual W-2 statements to employees by email or text. You must sign in to UCPath or AYSO using a safe, known link to view your electronic W-2. If you receive an email or text that has a link or an attachment for viewing your W-2, it is a phishing scam designed to gain your private information. Do not open any attachments or click on any email links that claim to give you access to your W-2!
