PPM 200-26 Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect Procedures
UC San Diego is committed to protecting children who participate in events, operations or endeavors that are operated, conducted, or organized by the University. This communication is to provide notice to the University community that the local implementing procedures regarding reporting child abuse and neglect can be found at https://adminrecords.ucsd.edu/PPM/docs/200-26.html.
The California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (“CANRA”), codified at California Penal Code Sections 11164-11174.3, and University of California Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect Policy require campuses to identify, obtain acknowledgements from, and train Mandated Reporters regarding the reporting of suspected child abuse or neglect. These procedures provide the local technical requirements for implementation and the procedures for reporting child abuse or neglect in San Diego County.
