I am pleased to announce the appointment of Randy Leopold as Interim Associate Vice Chancellor Capital Program Management and Designated Campus Building Official, effective December 1, 2021.
Randy joined UC San Diego in May 1999 and has served as a key member of the UC San Diego Capital Program senior leadership group through all aspects of healthcare and campus projects, with full accountability for overall scope, schedule, and budget. He has provided leadership in developing innovative project delivery and cost control strategies within the UC guidelines, including high-performing team concepts that yielded outcomes unique for California hospital construction projects. His leadership philosophy is based on building trust through integrity and relationships.
