In accordance with State of California guidelines for vaccine eligibility, UC San Diego’s RIMAC Vaccination Super Station is vaccinating all UC San Diego employees including faculty, staff, and postdoctoral researchers. We are prepared to administer vaccines as quickly as possible, contingent upon the allocation provided to UC San Diego Health. UC San Diego Health has allocated 10,000 appointment spaces for employees to vaccinate at RIMAC over the next 10 days.
We encourage you to get vaccinated as quickly as possible in order to protect the health and well-being of our campus community and our regional population. As soon as you receive a personal invitation to schedule your vaccination appointment through MyUCSDChart, you can schedule your appointment online.
Scheduling Your Vaccination Appointment
RIMAC Vaccination Station: Vaccination appointments will be administered by invitation only through MyUCSDChart electronic health record system, and email notifications will be sent with instructions on how to schedule your appointment online.
All vaccinations are by appointment only. Appointments will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please do not call or walk up to the vaccination site.
Healthcare Provider: Your healthcare provider is responsible for your vaccination. If you are enrolled with a healthcare provider other than UC San Diego Health, please schedule with the first provider that contacts you.
County Locations: If you are unable to get the COVID-19 vaccine from a healthcare provider, or it is easier to visit a more conveniently located site, the County of San Diego and its partners are offering vaccinations to individuals in eligible priority groups. Appointment information for County vaccination stations is available online.
After You Are Vaccinated
The health of our campus and our greater San Diego community depends upon vaccination and continued vigilance to stop the spread of COVID-19. Even once fully vaccinated (two weeks after receiving your second dose of vaccine), we must all continue the practices that we know help keep our campus community safe. Wear masks, wash hands often and avoid unmasked gatherings. Complete your daily screenings, and for those of you on campus, please continue to test weekly.
If you become symptomatic after vaccination, get tested. If you have been exposed to the virus or have been in contact with someone who has the virus, get tested.
Free UC San Diego Mask
Campus employees are invited to pick up a complimentary UC San Diego branded mask at the UC San Diego Bookstore weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Masks can be picked up from a bookstore cashier or outside the store at the plaza pick-up window. Departments can also send a designee to secure masks for their team. Please bring an employee ID or other form of identification.
Thank you for your continued commitment to each other.
