Today’s Identity Theft Protection Workshop and Updated FAQs About the Data Security Incident Affecting the University of California Community

Thank you to the more than 2,000 community members who signed up to join us for today’s Identity Theft Protection Workshop. For those who were not able to attend due to scheduling conflicts, the workshop was recorded and will be made available online at cybersecurity.ucsd.edu, where additional resources and links are currently available.

Office of the President Updates FAQs Updated

Last week we shared information on the data security incident affecting the University of California community, which was the result of a nationwide cyber attack. The Office of the President has updated recently published Frequently Asked Questions in English and Spanish that will help provide additional information.

As a reminder, this is a very serious incident and we encourage you to be proactive in protecting yourself using the resources and information that have been made available by the Office of the President.

The University of California community will continue to be updated as more information is learned and able to be shared. In the meantime, if you have questions related to this incident, please contact communications@ucop.edu.
