ALL STUDENTS, STAFF AND ACADEMICS AT UC SAN DIEGO (including UC San Diego Health)
Campus COVID-19 Policy Updates
Starting today, the State of California has lifted coronavirus restrictions such as capacity restrictions on businesses and physical distancing requirements. Masking requirements for fully vaccinated individuals have been relaxed in most situations. Masks remain required regardless of vaccination status while riding public transportation, in health care settings and indoors at K-12 schools. Unvaccinated individuals must continue to wear a mask indoors, except in their residence. UC San Diego will follow the updated State guidelines that apply to individuals outside of an employment context.
According to the CDC, vaccinations against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, are a safe and effective way to prevent the virus that to date has killed nearly 600,000 Americans and more than 3.3 million people worldwide.
Vaccinations for students, faculty and staff are available at the Price Center on campus, at UC San Diego Health’s vaccination station in Hillcrest, or at many pharmacies. More information and appointment instructions are available on our Return to Learn Vaccination webpage. UC San Diego Health employees should refer to the Pulse Intranet for specific information.
