Commencement, Move Out, and US Open Parking and Transportation Impacts June 10 –20, 2021
Campus parking and transportation operations will be modified June 10-20, 2021 to accommodate commencement, residence hall move out, and the U.S. Open golf tournament at Torrey Pines South Course. Those who have the option to take public transit, carpool, or work remotely during this period may wish to do so. Those who will be onsite are encouraged to budget extra time for their commutes and to review the schedule of parking and transportation changes below.

June 10 – 11
  • Parking lots P357, P359, and P384 will be closed. Alternate parking is available at the Hopkins Parking Structure.
June 12 – 13
  • Hopkins Drive will be closed between Voigt Drive and Northpoint Loop, 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. daily.
  • The service road between Seventh College East and lot parking lot P351 will be closed, 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. daily.
  • Scholars Drive North will be one way from North Point Drive to Pangea Drive.
  • Parking lots P351, P357, P359, and P384 will be closed.
  • Triton Transit will not operate.
  • The Hopkins, Pangea, Scholars, and Torrey Pines Center South parking structures will be used for commencement; expect congestion and use other facilities, if possible.
June 14 – 16
  • The Gliderport and Sanford Consortium West Lot (parking lots P386 and P384) will be closed, along with the lower level of the Torrey Pines Center South parking structure.
June 17 – 20
  • The Gliderport and Sanford Consortium West Lot (parking lots P386 and P384) will be closed, along with the lower level of the Torrey Pines Center South parking structure.
  • The Hopkins, Pangea, and Scholars parking structures will have significantly reduced capacity. Please use surface lots, the Osler Parking Structure or Gilman Parking Structure if possible. To provide UC San Diego affiliates with additional parking flexibility on these days, A, B, S, SR, and D permits will be interchangeable in central campus lots.
