UC San Diego is committed to providing a safe environment for its students, faculty and staff. In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (20 U.S.C. § 1092(f)) (“Clery Act”), you have been designated as a Campus Security Authority.
Pursuant to the Clery Act, Campus Security Authorities are required to report Clery Act crimes occurring on Clery geography that they either witness directly or learn about while acting within their roles as a Campus Security Authority to the UC San Diego Police Department using report forms provided by UC San Diego.
Effective August 2, 2021, individuals identified as Campus Security Authorities are required to take an approximately 30-minute training on the UC Learning Center website entitled Clery Act Training for Campus Security Authorities in order to understand their reporting requirements under this federal law. Training will be required on an annual basis. You will be receiving a separate notice from the UC Learning Center with information regarding the training shortly.
Thank you for your continued commitment to making UC San Diego a safe place to live, learn and work.
