2021 New Student Welcome Convocation Hopkins Drive Closure: September 21, 2021

Next week, the campus will be hosting the 2021 New Student Welcome Convocation on Tuesday, September 21st, as a part of UC San Diego’s Triton Weeks of Welcome (TWOW).

On Tuesday, September 21st the 16th annual New Student Welcome Convocation will be held from 10:00 A.M to 12:00 P.M. on RIMAC Field. Due to the construction of event infrastructure and additional security measures, Hopkins Drive will be closed from 8:30 A.M. through 12:30 P.M. on September 21st. During that time, Hopkins Drive will be closed to all vehicle, bike, and pedestrian traffic between Northpoint Drive after the North Information Booth through to the RIMAC arena loading dock.

Campus Shuttles will continue to run their normal routes throughout this time.

Please note that outbound traffic from Hopkins Parking Structure is subject to
delays, as all outgoing traffic will be routed towards Voigt drive.
