Excellence in Stewardship Award Call for Nominations

The UC San Diego Foundation’s Stewardship Committee will announce the 10th Annual Excellence in Stewardship Awards in June 2022.

I invite you to nominate faculty and staff who exceed expectations by effectively engaging and acknowledging our donors and supporters. Through their strategic efforts, our philanthropic community continues to help us enhance student access and success, innovate and discover leading-edge solutions, improve public health and human well-being, and enrich society through new knowledge and creative works. In this final year of the Campaign for UC San Diego, we especially wish to celebrate the members of our campus who are fueling our historic intellectual, physical and cultural transformation.

Any UC San Diego employee, Foundation Board Trustee, or volunteer may nominate individuals for the Faculty or Staff category. Please note that employees whose job description intrinsically requires the stewardship of donors are not eligible for nomination, including Advancement staff, University Communications staff, Government and Community Relations staff, vice chancellors, deans, and other senior administrators or campus leaders.

Please submit nominations for the 10th Annual Excellence in Stewardship Awards to Christy Bliss via email at cmbliss@ucsd.edu no later than February 18, 2022. Awardees selected by the UC San Diego Foundation’s Stewardship Committee will be notified in March 2022 and recognized by the UC San Diego Foundation in June 2022. Dr. Jason Sicklick, Professor and Executive Vice Chair of Research in the Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology, Moores Cancer Center
Karin Marsolais '80, Chief Administrative Officer at The Preuss School UC San Diego
