First-year Seminar Program and Senior Seminar Program - Spring Quarter 2023 Proposals

I am writing to encourage your participation in the First-year and Senior Seminar Programs during Spring Quarter 2023.

The due date for the submission of seminar proposals is Friday, Nov. 4, 2022.  

Eligible faculty will receive a $1,000 research payment (not as salary, but as funding available to support various academic expenses including research, travel, and supplies) for teaching either a one-unit First-year Seminar or a one-unit Senior Seminar. To receive the teaching payment, you must meet the faculty guidelines and your seminar must have a minimum enrollment of 10 on Thursday of First Week. A department may only offer Senior Seminars if it also offers at least two First-year Seminars in the same quarter.
