Open Enrollment Begins Today
Open Enrollment begins today and ends on Friday, November 18 at 5 p.m. Pacific Time. This is your once-a-year opportunity to review benefit offerings at UC San Diego, determine which plans will be most beneficial for you and your family for 2023, and make the appropriate changes. Perhaps you're happy with your benefit selection and do not plan to make changes or re-enroll for a Flexible Spending Account (FSA); if so, you should review your Benefits Summary page on the UCPath portal for accuracy.
To help you make informed decisions, we also offer the following:
Virtual Benefits Fair: Now open through November 18. This is a great resource for you to make informed decisions on your benefit options as it includes live Q&A sessions from benefits vendors, pre-recorded presentations, and much more. Vendor Partner Presentations: On Tuesday, November 1, you will have the opportunity to learn more about your health plans, with representatives available to answer your questions after each session. The schedule of sessions is available on the Open Enrollment Blink page.
Open Enrollment Office Hours: If you have additional questions about your health plan after attending an Open Enrollment presentation, log into one of the virtual Office Hours sessions to have your questions answered. The schedule of office hours is available on the Open Enrollment Blink page.
Now more than ever, staying healthy is key — and good health begins with convenient primary care. We’ve expanded our network of primary care locations to the neighborhoods where you live and work, and the Children’s Primary Care Medical Group has joined our network to offer more pediatrics options for your family. Open Enrollment is also the time for you to enroll or re-enroll in a Flexible Spending Account if you want to continue your Health FSA (for healthcare expenses for you and your family members) or Dependent Care FSA (for childcare or eldercare expenses) in 2023. Re-enrollment is not automatic for these plans. If you would like to enroll for one of these plans, you will need to make your new annual election during Open Enrollment.
Once you have decided which benefit choices are right for you and your family, access the UCPath portal to update your enrollments for 2023 no later than 5 p.m. PST on Friday, November 18. We encourage you to learn more by visiting the UC website, UCnet.
