ALL STUDENTS, ACADEMICS AND STAFF AT UC SAN DIEGO (Including UC San Diego Health)
Native American Heritage Month Celebration
Every November, UC San Diego celebrates the rich cultures, traditions and histories of Native people and recognizes the important contributions they continue to make. All faculty, staff and students are invited to take part in Native American Heritage Month, which includes film screenings, lectures, a musical performance and more.
UC San Diego’s 16th annual festivities kick off on Nov. 3 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Price Center Ballroom. The event features a keynote by Priscilla Ortiz, Miss Kumeyaay Nation. She will discuss her journey with Tribal Youth programs, learning her language, and her role as Miss Kumeyaay Nation. The event will also include a live performance by Soaring Eagles Powwow Dance Group. More events and details are available on the Native American Heritage Month webpage.
Thank you to the members of the Native American Heritage Month Planning Committee for their time in coordinating these educational and celebratory events.
