Enhancing the Employee Experience IdeaWave Campaign
Thank you to everyone (all 5,600+) that completed our 2022 Staff at Work (S@W) survey! We are grateful for your contributions. Please read on to learn about our next steps and how you can continue to shape our shared work ahead.
Our next phase in the Staff at Work “Yellow Brick Road” is now. The Enhancing the Employee Experience IdeaWave campaign starts today, December 6, 2022, and finishes January 13, 2023. Using IdeaWave, you can share your ideas; comment or build on other’s ideas; and vote/like the shared ideas. Commenting and voting are critically important for us to be able to identify and learn from the ideas that most resonate for you. Make sure to log in using your Active Directory credentials. If you’d like to learn more about the campaign, please join us for the December 7, 2022, Staff Town Hall, from 10:30-11:45 am.
It was heartening to hear in your survey responses about the satisfaction you experience around supporting and respecting your work-life, working with your coworkers, and contributing to your department’s mission. We welcomed hearing areas we can improve around including your satisfaction in having a voice on campus, adequate staffing, and career advancement professionally. We want to celebrate the work we have all done to support each other and our whole Triton family these last few very challenging years; and we acknowledge there is plenty of work we can do together to improve the staff experience.
While over 5,600 of you responded to this year’s survey, we want to ensure everyone continues to have a chance to share ideas for how we can improve together. As you have heard me describe in recent Staff Town Halls, starting this year we are doing things a little differently by following up on the S@W survey with an IdeaWave campaign. We want to hear your ideas about specific ways we can work together to improve your experience around the themes identified in the S@W survey. We are organizing the IdeaWave campaign around the five anchors of the UC San Diego People Proposition, the promise we want to be able to deliver on to the people of UC San Diego - Care, Inclusion, Growth, Equity and Purpose. We want your ideas on how to enact concrete, practical steps to enhance the staff experience and deliver on that promise.
Thank you again for everything you do to make UC San Diego such a strong community and for sharing your ideas to make it an even better place to work.
Further information on IdeaWave: This IdeaWave campaign allows us to gain the collective insights of a group and to rally around particularly interesting ideas and submissions through "crowdsourcing". The more you interact and engage in the campaign using the voting buttons, commenting on other ideas, and adding your own ideas, the more you help inform the direction of the overall campaign effort. All users can adjust their profile settings to send push notifications or can check back regularly to stay informed on important topics and announcements from this campaign. The IdeaWave campaign also contains instructions for how to participate in languages other than English. Watch this video to learn how to engage in IdeaWave campaigns.
