Reissued 2021 UC San Diego Annual Security and Fire Safety Report - Updated Policies
The 2021 UC San Diego Annual Security and Fire Safety Report was updated to include recent substantive changes made to the University of California Sexual Violence Sexual Harassment Policy and the adjudication frameworks for students, faculty and staff. These changes can be found in Section XII of the report and address conduct in the medical setting as well as updated requirements relating to no-contact orders. The updated policies and frameworks from the University of California Office of the President are included as Appendices C-G. The report is also updated to include some revised evacuation locations for on-campus student housing facilities. UC San Diego’s Annual Security and Fire Safety Report provides statistics for the calendar years 2020, 2019 and 2018 for certain crimes which occurred on campus, including on-campus student housing facilities; non-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the university and used for educational purposes and frequented by students, or owned or controlled by an officially recognized student organization; and on public property immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. This report also contains information pertaining to campus security; alcohol and drug policies; missing person reports; crime prevention; information on dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking prevention and response; and procedures for timely warning notifications and emergency response and evacuation, among others. This report also includes important fire safety information and statistics concerning on-campus student housing facility fires, fire drills and fire safety education and training.
All members of the UC San Diego community are encouraged to immediately report crimes to the UC San Diego Police Department. Emergencies or situations that may pose an immediate or ongoing threat to the health and safety of our students, employees and visitors should immediately be reported by dialing 9-1-1 from a campus or mobile phone, or by using one of the call boxes located in the parking areas.
