Review of Proposed Revisions to Policy and Procedure Manual (PPM) Section 230-275, Appointment and Promotion – Professor of Clinical X Series
The University invites comments on a proposed revised Policy and Procedure Manual (PPM) Section 230-220 (PPM 230-220), Appointment and Promotion – Professor Series.
Key revisions include the following:
New APM reference points to clarify where APM is operative as well as removal and correction of existing APM reference points where no longer valid or incorrect.
Modification of appraisal rating “Favorable with Reservations” to “Favorable with Recommendations” and related appraisal description language.
Removal of requirement for independent external referee letter for Assistant-level appointments at Step III to align with delegation of authority to Deans for Assistant-level appointments at step I, II, and III.
Various numbering and lettering updates to align with prescribed policy formatting requirements.
