Mental Health Awareness Month
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. As part of the Tritons Flourish Initiative, UC San Diego’s Student Health and Well-Being (Counseling and Psychological Services, and Health Promotion Services) has partnered with departments across campus to create in-person and virtual well-being programs and events for undergraduate, graduate and professional students as well as staff and faculty throughout the month of May. These events include RISE workshops, community forums and self-guided online interactive programs. To view a full calendar of events, please visit our online May calendar.
The featured event for Mental Health Awareness Month will be the Out of the Darkness Walk focused on suicide prevention, the second leading cause of death among people ages 15 to 24. Anyone can participate in the walk (faculty, staff and students). Register to join our UC San Diego team online.
