Funds Available for Staff Training and Career Development
In support of our mission and values, UC San Diego recognizes the importance of providing and financially supporting staff education, training, and professional development opportunities. Continuous learning enhances our capacity to perform and builds our sense of community. It equips us with the skills needed to keep pace in an ever-changing landscape of campus growth, advancing technology and new challenges.
The Staff Equal Opportunity Enrichment Program (SEOEP) provides training and career development funds for individuals and departments. On the individual level, the program provides up to $500 for training activities to eligible staff employees seeking a promotion or career change at UC San Diego. On the department level, the program provides up to $5,000 for training activities to eligible departments supporting their employees who are seeking a promotion or career change at UC San Diego.
The application period for the Staff Equal Opportunity Enrichment Program 2022 – 2023 will begin accepting proposals on May 1, 2022. Individual and department proposals for SEOEP funds must be received by June 1, 2022, at 11:59 p.m.
