Call for Applications - Membership on the Chancellor's Advisory Committee on the Status of Women (CSW)
The UC San Diego Chancellor's Advisory Committee on the Status of Women (CSW) is actively seeking new members. As faculty academic appointee vacancies were filled in the 2021 call for applicants, the vacancies this year are in the following categories: staff (3), non-faculty academic appointees (1), postdoctoral scholars (3), undergraduate students (2), and graduate students (1), for a total of 10 vacancies. See section APM 110-4.15 for faculty definition, titles and series.
Selection criteria include: commitment to serve on the Committee on the Status of Women for a one-to three-year term; commitment to attend monthly, 90-minute CSW meetings; commitment to join a CSW subcommittee (3-5 hours per month) that matches your skills, expertise, and/or interests; and demonstrated interest in issues relating to gender equity and the status of women students, staff, and faculty at UC San Diego. The goal is to have an interdisciplinary and diverse cross-campus representation in this committee.
Notice of appointment will be made no later than September 2022. Participation on this committee is not required and therefore, does not implicate any workload equivalencies or other assigned duties. If you have any questions, please contact diversity@ucsd.edu.
