Integrated Procure-to-Pay Solutions (IPPS) is excited to announce the launch of a five-year partnership between UC San Diego and University Credit Union (UCU), an environmentally conscious, not-for-profit financial cooperative that was founded by UC employees over 70 years ago to exclusively support higher education.
University Credit Union will open an advisory center in the Price Center for financial services this fall and several new ATMs across campus. The California-based credit union provides access to membership benefits to all UC San Diego students, employees, alumni and retirees, and will launch a co-branded UC San Diego credit card and a UC San Diego Athletics debit card. The advisory center will move into the space currently occupied by Chase Bank.
As UC San Diego's official partner, University Credit Union will provide our community with one-on-one consultations and educational workshops in financial management, as well as student internships. They will also sponsor all Athletics and Alumni events, and the Staff Association Scholarship Fund, which provides financial aid to employees pursuing professional development activities.
Finding the right banking partner for UC San Diego involved the support, collaboration, and input of stakeholders across campus. We thank the Campus Partnership Program Governance Committee members, including Athletics, Alumni, Corporate Relations, Extended Studies, Real Estate, University Centers, Health, and Student Affairs for their active engagement in selecting a partner that aligns with UC San Diego values and meets the needs of our Triton community.
