Fifth-Year Administrative Review – Dean of the Division of Undergraduate Education, John Moore

Dear Colleagues,

We have been appointed as a committee by Executive Vice Chancellor Elizabeth H. Simmons to conduct a review, in accordance with university policy, of John Moore’s performance in his administrative role as Dean of the Division of Undergraduate Education. This includes performance in the following areas:

Providing leadership for undergraduate academic programs
Creating, articulating, and implementing a vision for the future of undergraduate education
Fostering academic excellence, developing undergraduate education, and cultivating a student-centered culture
Service as the campus Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO) and leading the campus through reaffirmation of accreditation reviews
Service as the undergraduate liaison with the Academic Senate’s Education Policy Committee, Undergraduate Council, and other committees to promote academic excellence
Leadership and service on Senate/Administration workgroups driving improvement of undergraduate education and the undergraduate experience
Management of operations, staff and academic appointees. including the Dean’s internal staff, the Office for Students with Disabilities, Summer Session, Academic Integrity Office, and the undergraduate colleges
Collaborating with faculty, administrators, students and staff to resolve Student Code of Conduct, staff human resources, financial and other issues arising in the undergraduate colleges
Enhancing the diversity of the campus, specifically academic, staff, and student diversity
Fostering a culture of inclusion across all disciplines
Promoting an environment of high standards of ethical conduct
