Questions Regarding Implementation of the ASE, GSR & Postdoc Contracts

Thank you for your patience and collaboration over the last few weeks as questions and answers regarding the implementation of the Academic Student Employee (ASE), Graduate Student Researcher (GSR) & Postdoctoral Scholar (Postdoc) contracts were gathered and assembled. We appreciate how thoughtfully you are approaching these complicated issues and we will do our best to address your questions through a variety of communication channels.

We encourage you to check back periodically because updates will be made as more answers are received. Also, at the bottom of the FAQs you will see a link to a form that will allow you to submit additional questions.

Please join us Wednesday, Feb. 1, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., as we co-host a virtual Town Hall focused on answering questions not addressed in the FAQs.

Representatives from the following areas across the campus will be on hand to answer your questions: Offices of the EVC, Division of Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs, Labor Relations, Office of Research Affairs, and Academic Personnel.

You are invited to submit questions when you register or during the event itself, but please review the FAQs mentioned above in case the answer is already there. While we may not be able to address all questions during the event, we will do our best to ensure that questions are answered and shared later in the FAQs.

Lastly, in the coming weeks we’ll be announcing Q&A sessions for Schools, including Health Sciences, to answer more nuanced questions and further navigate the changes associated with the new contracts.
