Transportation Resources for Thanksgiving and Winter Breaks
As
the holiday season approaches, we understand that many Tritons will be making plans to travel from campus to various destinations. To help you use alternative transit methods for a smooth and convenient trip, we want to highlight a few options available for students, faculty and staff.
Getting to the Airport: Easily access the
San Diego International Airport via the UC San Diego Blue Line trolley and the San Diego Flyer for a total trip time of about 40 minutes. Both services are free with U-Pass and FaSt Pass, offering big savings over airport parking or ride services. Learn more in this brief video from Transportation Services and Triton Transfers.
Long-Distance Buses and Zipcar:
Consider taking the long-distance bus service FlixBus or renting a car via Zipcar for your holiday travels. You can find more information and resources on our website.
Catch a Ride with a Fellow Triton via the Triton Commuter Club:Triton Commuter Club
isn’t just for commuting. Our nearly 9,000 members share one-time and long-distance rides too. Find students, faculty and staff heading in the
same direction as you on the RideAmigos platform to share the ride and save.
