Project Purpose
The Ridge Walk South Fire Lane Improvements project will provide the necessary reinforcement of the existing basement corridor linking Urey Hall and Mayer Hall to accommodate fire truck loading on Ridge Walk above.
Location and Duration:
The work will take place within the enclosed corridor linking the basements of Urey Hall and Mayer Hall. Construction will begin in March 2023 with a target completion of August 2023.
Immediate Effects: Parking Lot, Street Traffic, and Pedestrians
- Pedestrian access through the corridor linking the Urey Hall and Mayer Hall basements will be closed. Access between buildings will take place on the ground floor.
- Minor pedestrian detours around the Bonner Hall loading dock when material is being off loaded.
- Please anticipate noise and vibration during construction.
