WHEN: April 27th starting at 2 PM thru May 1st at 5 AM
WHERE: Voigt Dr at Hopkins Parking Structure
Project Purpose, Location and Duration
As the campus grows, improvements to infrastructure are necessary. Excavation and installation of new water pipe will upgrade domestic water systems, including fire suppression water lines. This project will relocate fire suppression water lines along Hopkins Drive, and as part of this work, the new line will be connected at the intersection of Hopkins and Voigt Drive (see a map of the affected areas). The concrete pavement in the area will be removed and replaced. The work will start on April 27 at 2:00 p.m. and will complete on May 1 at 5 a.m when the road will open back up for use.
Immediate Effects: Parking Lot, Street Traffic and Pedestrians
- Hopkins Parking Structure will remain open and allow access through the parking structure to the Marshall College lower apartments parking lot (P308).
- Pedestrian sidewalks will remain open.
- Please anticipate noise and vibration during this work. The demolition of the existing road will take place between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on April 27. Concrete will be replaced on April 28, starting at 7 a.m. The remainder of the dates will allow for proper cure time. Road closure will be 4/27 at 2pm to 5/1 at 5am.
