Proposed New Campus Policy – Policy on Transportation Uses of Automated License Plate Reader Technology

The Campus Privacy Office and The Office of the Executive Director, Triton Auxiliary Programs & Services invite comments on the draft Policy on Transportation Uses of Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) Technology.
This policy governs the use of ALPR technology for the purpose of parking management and access control (e.g., gate arm operations). It defines acceptable use of transportation ALPR systems and data, affirms the privacy of that data and how it will be safeguarded, establishes requirements for public notice regarding the use of transportation ALPR systems, and articulates auditing and oversight provisions associated with the use of Transportation ALPR systems and data.
