Director Search for the Center for Comparative Immigration Studies
A
search is now underway for the position of Director of the Center for Comparative Immigration Studies (CCIS), an Organized Research Unit at UC
San Diego. The Director will report to the Vice Chancellor for Research.
Responsibilities of the Director include:
Intellectual leadership and direction for the Center’s research, educational, and campus-wide service activities
Administrative and managerial oversight of the Center
Promotion of the scholarly activities of the Center at UC San Diego.
Qualifications include:
Superior teaching and research record
Some record of activity associated with CCIS
Demonstrated
contributions to the campus community, including efforts to promote diversity, equity and inclusion; and the UC San Diego Principles of Community.
Eligibility
is restricted to those individuals holding tenured faculty appointments
at UC San Diego. It is anticipated that the initial appointment will be
for a five-year term from the time of appointment in AY 2023-2024 to June 30, 2028.
