Notice of Senate Election

In accordance with Bylaws 115 and 185 of the San Diego Division of the Academic Senate, notice is hereby given that nominations are open for the following positions, with the election commencing on Monday, April 29, 2024:

Vice Chair (Chair Designate) of the Division for a two-year term, effective September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2026: the first year as Vice Chair and the second year as Chair of the San Diego Division.
Divisional Representatives (two vacancies) to the systemwide Assembly of the Academic Senate for a two-year term, effective September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2026.
Member of the Committee on Committees from an Arts department for a three-year term, effective September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2027.
Member of the Committee on Committees from a Health Sciences department, excluding the Skaggs School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, for a three-year term, effective September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2027.
Member of the Committee on Committees from a Health Sciences department, excluding the Skaggs School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, for a one-year term, effective September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025.
Member of the Committee on Committees from a Humanities department for a three-year term, effective September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2027.
Member of the Committee on Committees from a Physical Sciences department for a three-year term, effective September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2027.

Nominating petitions are due on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. and may be submitted by e-mail to Daniel at dcarrillojr@ucsd.edu. Please note that the nominee must have been contacted and agreed to serve the term if elected, before the nomination is submitted.
