CONSTRUCTION ALERT - Powell-Focht Bioengineering Hall and Jacobs Hall North East Loading Dock

Project Purpose:

Construction will start on Bioengineering Powell-Focht Basement Renovation in mid-October 2024. The project will renovate the existing office space in the south wing of the Powell-Focht Bioengineering Hall into an undergraduate instructional wet lab and bioelectronics innovation space.

Location and Duration:

In mid-October, exterior laydown and dumpster placement will be established at the Powell-Focht / Atkison Hall Loading dock as well as the Jacobs Hall Loading Dock. The majority of the south wing of the Powell-Focht Bioengineering Hall basement will be closed. Project completion is anticipated for August 2025.

Immediate Parking Lot, Street Traffic, and Pedestrian Impacts:

Construction vehicles will use Genesee Avenue, Campus Pointe, Voigt Drive and Engineers Lane.
Access along Engineers Lane and into Powell-Focht Bioengineering Hall will be maintained at all times.

Please observe all temporary traffic controls and crewmember instructions. Please reduce speeds and allow extra space when traveling adjacent to construction activity.
