CONSTRUCTION ALERT - Multidisciplinary Life Science Building (MDLS) |

The Multidisciplinary Life Sciences Building (MDLS) will provide space for interdisciplinary research and teaching utilizing advanced technologies that drive discovery in academia and industry. The project will also include Public Realm improvements, and site utility infrastructure to support future campus expansion.

Construction will begin November 20, 2024, with completion targeted for Spring 2027. The project site is in the Health Sciences West area of campus, south of Biomedical Sciences Way and west of Pharmacy Lane, between the South Parking Structure, the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Building, and the Central Research Services Facility. The project laydown area will be located on the grassy area south of the CMME building, and on parking lot P603 between Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Building, and Rita Atkinson Residences.

Immediate Parking Lot, Street Traffic, and Pedestrian Impacts:

- Construction vehicles will use Gilman Drive, Biomedical Sciences Way, and Pharmacy Lane. Pharmacy Lane will be closed to pedestrians and vehicles throughout construction. The Skaggs loading dock will remain open.

The east entrance/exit of South Parking Structure will be closed during construction. Parking lot P603 will be closed during construction. Lot P604 is the site of the new building and will be closed indefinitely.

Please observe all temporary traffic controls and crewmember instructions. Please reduce speeds and allow extra space when traveling adjacent to construction activity. See the attached map for the affected area.
