Tritons Belong: Understanding and Compassion in Challenging Times
As
our campus continues to be impacted by the war in the Middle East, UC San Diego encourages our campus communities to engage in conversation, learning, and connections through our Principles of Community to enhance understanding and compassion.
To
support our campus community during these challenging times, UC San Diego will engage in efforts to address Antisemitism, Islamophobia, free
speech, and navigating difficult conversations through TritonsBelong.
The Tritons Belong
initiative engages our UC San Diego community, through a series of online and in-person events and conversations in times when many are struggling with a significant issue. Created in response to the current experiences and concerns that arose following October 7, 2023, these initial efforts of Tritons Belong focus on Understanding and Compassion in Challenging Times.
You may register to attend this month’s Tritons Belong events through the links below:
To learn more information about the initiative and upcoming engagements please visit our Tritons Belong webpage. You will also find resources to support understanding around these topics.
During these challenging times, let’s lean into our shared values within the Principles of Community,
learn more about the issues, and seek support through the resources available at UC San Diego to students, faculty and staff through our Support Services and Resources.
