Timely Warning – Arson

On February 28, 2024, at 2:41 P.M., the San Diego Fire Department and UC San Diego Police Department responded to a fire alarm at 3869 Miramar Street (Cala Building). Upon arrival, burnt material was found in multiple locations within the building

There is no suspect information at this time.
The report is currently under investigation by the UC San Diego Police Department.

Report suspicious activity (including the use of open flame) on and around the open lands, hillsides, canyons and trails anywhere on campus or in the SIO area to the UC San Diego Police Department immediately by calling 9-1-1.
Call the UC San Diego Police Department if you become aware of someone talking about or planning an arson.
