CONSTRUCTION ALERT – West Bound Lane Closure of Theatre District Drive - between Gilman Dr. and Herbert York Lane
Project Purpose
The
Central Utility Plant (CUP) Expansion project is under construction. Plant expansion is designed to provide additional electrical campus infrastructure cooling for future building loads. This planned outage will install new electrical conductors to power the new CUP Expansion. Location and Duration
The
temporary outage will impact West bound vehicle and bike traffic on Theatre District Drive between Gilman Drive and Herbert York Lane. Construction is scheduled to occur February 12, 2024 for an eight hour duration between 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Flaggers will be posted for traffic control at each end of the impacted street construction area.
Immediate Pedestrian Impacts
Pedestrian
walking sidewalk traffic is required to stay on the South side of Theatre District Drive in the construction zone avoiding the North side of the street in its entirety.
Please observe all temporary traffic controls and crewmember instructions. Please reduce speeds and allow extra space when traveling adjacent to construction activity. See a map of the affected area.
