We are writing to update you about a student-organized demonstration that will be taking place on the UC San Diego campus tomorrow, March 6, because the primary location of the demonstration has changed to Matthews Quad.
In order to maintain peace and safety, a larger-than-usual security presence will be onsite and safety escorts will be available beginning at 3 p.m. To request a safety escort call (858) 534-9255, or extension 4-WALK from a campus phone.
UC San Diego unequivocally condemns all forms of hate. As a public university, UC San Diego is required to allow access to campus and support everyone’s right to constitutionally protected
free speech. We expect and encourage everyone to exercise their constitutional rights respectfully and peacefully. Violations of the law and university policy will not be tolerated and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent.
