A Note From Your Campus CHRO, Terri Winbush |
People Leaders: For staff without ready access to email, please print and post a copy of this email.
|
When I think about the heart behind UC San Diego, I immediately think of our vibrant student population. When I think about the pulse of our university, I think of our amazing staff and faculty - those of us carefully stewarding the promising future of our dedicated Tritons.
And then there is a special group of people on campus that meets both criteria. A team that works tirelessly to further their education, juggling full course loads while immersing themselves in the vast career landscape of UC San Diego - and that is our vital student employee community.
As someone who had to work when I attended undergrad and law school, I’m filled with optimism at the thought of our student employees as I see them balancing their educational pursuits with their integral roles in our workforce. They have a keen understanding of both student and employee life, and every interaction with them offers a precious, mutual opportunity for learning and growth.
Because of that and so many reasons, I am thrilled to welcome the Student Employment Office to Campus HR, where we will work together to offer the best possible experience for our amazing students in staff-related roles in this hybrid world.
With that, please take care of yourselves and each other, celebrate your shared accomplishments and remember to do something that brings you joy!
Lead with grace and courage,
Terri S. Winbush
Campus Chief Human Resources Officer
