The Office of Research and Innovation is inviting you to an opportunity to learn about reworking past National Institutes of Health (NIH) proposals for successful submission to Department of Defense (DoD) biomedical research funding opportunities. 
This aligns with the campus strategic plan refresh effort to leverage strengths in new ways to grow UC San Diego’s research portfolio.

This presentation will delve into understanding the unique priorities and operational needs of the DoD, and the strategy for aligning research proposals accordingly to address critical defense health needs. Attendees will gain insight into the DoD biomedical research enterprise, tailoring proposals to meet DoD specific requirements, enhancing their chances of securing funding.
The Conafay Group is working with UC San Diego on a contract basis to extend our engagement with DoD funding opportunities, with an initial focus on biomedical research and development.
