The fourth Representative Assembly meeting of the 2023-24 academic year is scheduled for Tuesday, April 16 from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. The meeting will be held via Zoom. Representative Assembly members will receive the Zoom link directly. If you are a Senate member who is not an Assembly Representative and you would like to attend the meeting, please RSVP to the Academic Senate Office at academicsenateoffice@ucsd.edu to obtain the login instructions. All Senate members are welcome to attend.

Although the meeting will start at 3:30, we ask meeting participants to begin logging in at 3:15 to allow time for each participant to be admitted into the meeting. We also ask that your Zoom name match your real name, so that you may be identified.
Chancellor Khosla and EVC Simmons will address the Assembly, UC San Diego Health CEO Patty Maysent will provide an update on expansion plans for UC San Diego Health, and Energy and Sustainability Manager Michelle Perez will provide an update on the UC San Diego Decarbonization Study. In addition, the following proposals will be presented:
- Department of Visual Arts proposal to change the PhD in Art History, Theory and Criticism to Art/History/Media/Theory and change the name of the PhD in Art History, Theory and Criticism with a concentration on Art Practice to Art/History/Media/Theory – Art Practice
- Proposal to amend San Diego Divisional Bylaw 210, Undergraduate Council
- Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences proposal for the formation of two departments within the School: Department of Pharmacy Practice and Sciences and Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Proposed Resolution on UC San Diego Policy on Public Disclosure of External Funding
As large Zoom meetings do not lend themselves to free-flowing discussion, I ask that you please review the meeting materials in advance of the meeting and send questions to academicsenateoffice@ucsd.edu with the agenda topic number in the subject line of the email, by noon on Friday, April 12. Your questions will be shared with the presenters so that they may be prepared to discuss them in advance.
Primary Representatives and Alternate Representatives should coordinate their attendance and voting for this meeting. Both may attend; however, Alternate Representatives may only vote in the absence of the Primary Representative. Please coordinate who will attend and cast votes, in advance of the meeting.
