APM 025 and APM 671 Roadshow Recordings, Policy Updates, and UC OATS Reporting

Dear Colleagues,

Thank you to those of you who were able to attend one of our APM 025 and APM 671 Roadshows for updates to the university’s policies on professional outside activities and conflicts of commitment.

As a reminder, the revised Academic Personnel Manual (APM) Section 025 and Section 671 went into effect July 1, 2024. Individuals holding appointments in the academic series (listed below) at more than 50% on the General Campus, SIO, or who are non-HSCP members of UC San Diego Health Sciences, are subject to the pre-approval, reporting, and time limits set forth in APM 025. Individuals holding appointments in the below listed academic series at more than 50% who are also members of the health sciences compensation plan are subject to pre-approval, reporting, time limits, and compensation limits set for in APM 671.

Professor in Residence
Adjunct Professor
Professor of Clinical (e.g., Medicine)
Health Sciences Clinical Professor
Clinical Professor of Dentistry
Lecturer with Security of Employment, including Acting titles
