ALL STAFF AT UC SAN DIEGO (Including UC San Diego Health)

The UC San Diego Staff Association and I invite you to the Annual Staff Summer Celebration on Wednesday, August 28 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This year’s summer fest will feature activation stations, fun giveaways, a delicious Hawaiian BBQ lunch served by UC San Diego Catering, and entertainment provided by DJ Shammy Dee ’06. Join us and your colleagues for some fun in the sun!

Two hours of administrative leave with pay have been approved for staff to attend the Staff Summer Celebration. Supervisors, upon request, may approve the use of such leave when the absence does not infringe upon the performance of required job duties or patient care.

Location

The main event footprint and activities will take place on Sun God Lawn. Those who reserved a ticket for lunch will enter through the side entrance of the Faculty Club to pick up their meals before entering the lawn.

Ticketing

All attendees will be required to present their UC San Diego staff ID and a ticket to receive lunch. Tickets will be available beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 1 on a first come, first served basis. Be sure to reserve your ticket the day they become available, as quantities are limited and typically “sell out.” To request your e-ticket, visit the Staff Association webpage.

A ticket is not required to enter the main event space on Sun God Lawn.

Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed to support the Staff Summer Celebration. All individuals volunteering with the Staff Association will receive a meal ticket and a custom event t-shirt. To sign up for a shift, fill out this form.
