The independent assessment team is composed of experienced campus law enforcement professionals from out-of-state—Margaret Gant, Assistant Director II, Accreditation Manager, University of North Texas Police Department and Evelyn Castilleja, Accreditation Manager, UT Health San Antonio University Police. They will review written materials, interview individuals and inspect facilities to ensure compliance with IACLEA standards.
Once the assessors complete their review, they will report back to IACLEA, which will then decide if the campus police department is to be granted accredited status. Accreditation lasts for four years. During that time, the campus police department will submit annual reports attesting to continued compliance with IACLEA standards.
