UC San Diego’s Annual Security and Fire Safety Report provides statistics for the calendar years 2023, 2022 and 2021 for certain crimes which occurred on campus, including on-campus student housing facilities; non-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the university and used for educational purposes and frequented by students, or owned or controlled by an officially recognized student organization; and on public property immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. This report also contains information pertaining to campus security; alcohol and drug policies; missing person reports; crime prevention; information on dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking prevention and response; and procedures for timely warning notifications and emergency response and evacuation, among others. This report also includes important fire safety information and statistics concerning on-campus student housing facility fires, fire drills and fire safety education and training.
All members of the UC San Diego community are encouraged to immediately report crimes to the UC San Diego Police Department. Emergencies or situations that may pose an immediate or ongoing threat to the health and safety of our students, employees and visitors should immediately be reported by calling or texting 9-1-1, or by using one of the call boxes located in the parking areas.
