Following the announcement that Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer (VC-CFO) Pierre Ouillet will be stepping down in October after 10 years of exceptional service, UC San Diego is pleased to announce the appointment of Interim Vice Chancellor and CFO (IVC-CFO) Maureen Harrigan, effective October 14, 2024. Maureen has successfully served as Interim Vice Chancellor for Resource Management and Planning (IVC-RMP) for the past year while the search for the permanent Vice Chancellor for Operations Management and Capital Programs (VC-OMCP) was conducted. We are pleased that she will continue with UC San Diego in this capacity until a permanent VC-CFO is appointed.
Maureen brings decades of experience in higher education and private industry leadership and has served in several roles, including Interim AVP for Budget and Management Analysis for Seton Hall University, Interim Vice President for Finance and Operations for the Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York, and Senior Associate Dean for Finance & Administration at the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University. In the private sector, Maureen has served as a Corporate Philanthropy Manager at Agilent Technologies and an R&D Project Manager and Manufacturing Manager at Hewlett-Packard.
We will launch an international search for a new VC-CFO, and an announcement regarding the search will be issued soon.
Please join me in welcoming Maureen to her new role at UC San Diego.
