Update on Wildfire Monitoring and Preparedness
Although there is no imminent wildfire threat to the UC San Diego campus, the Emergency Operations Center is actively monitoring the situation and staying informed about weather conditions, air quality and any nearby fires. The UC San Diego campus and UC San Diego Health System are operating normally with no disruption to classes or services. If conditions change, we will promptly notify the campus community of any necessary action to support public safety.
The UC San Diego EOC has been activated to Level 4 (Situational Awareness Safety Center staffing) to monitor Santa Ana conditions in San Diego County and the wildland fires outside of San Diego County.
UC San Diego is conducting business as usual. Classes are in session and all business offices are open. Neither Campus nor the Health System Center have been impacted by the Santa Ana or the wildland fires burning in Los Angeles County.
