ALL ACADEMICS, STAFF, AND STUDENTS AT UC SAN DIEGO

Celebrating Triton Transfers

UC San Diego is excited to celebrate the talent, resilience and diversity of our current and future Triton Transfers during National Transfer Student Week (NTSW) during Week 4, Oct. 20-24. This annual celebration commemorates transfer students and the faculty and staff who support and champion their experience. This year, we recognize more than 8,000 talented and accomplished Tritons who began their academic journeys at other colleges and universities before joining our vibrant community. Our Triton Transfers enrich our campus through their unique experiences, talents and achievements and are valued members of the university.

Key Events During the Week

The Triton Transfer Hub is working closely with campus partners to offer resources, programming and community all week long! This year we are kicking off our collaborative Family Food Pantry and Children's Closet that supports students with dependents. Learn more at the Monday Community Care fair.

For Faculty and Staff

On Thursday, Oct. 23, from 10-11 a.m., the Triton Transfer Hub will host a Transfer Champion Training and Dialogue as part of the regular Triton Time professional development series. This session will explore what support looks like for transfer students on campus and beyond and will provide practical strategies for building a transfer-receptive culture at the individual, department and university levels. Staff from the Triton Transfer Hub will lead the conversations and share tools that empower faculty, staff and administrators to champion our transfer community. You can register here.

Triton Transfer Hub

Established in 2019, the Triton Transfer Hub provides resources, services and programs that empower transfer students to achieve their goals while navigating UC San Diego’s academic and cultural landscape.

In 2026, the Triton Transfer Hub will relocate to the Triton Center, where it will be housed in the Triton Administrative Services Building alongside the Teaching and Learning Commons, Global Initiatives, and the Student First Stop. By consolidating these key services under one roof, the building will create a seamless ecosystem that supports every student’s academic, social and personal success.
