The Undergraduate Research Hub (URH) invites faculty to nominate outstanding undergraduate students to present at the 38th Annual Undergraduate Research Conference (URC) on Saturday, April 19, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Ida and Cecil Green Faculty Club. The deadline to nominate up to three student-presenters is Friday, March 7.
This event celebrates intellectual excellence at UC San Diego, and the URC is grateful for the role faculty play in sustaining and enriching the only campus-wide conference to bestow faculty recognition upon undergraduate scholars in all fields. Your nomination provides our students with the opportunity to present their research findings at roundtables moderated by an expert in their discipline. Thanks to your participation, the URC is considered a signature academic event for undergraduates at UC San Diego, and they greatly appreciate the opportunity to be recognized by their peers, mentors, family and friends.
The URC supports the scholarly and creative accomplishments of UC San Diego students and encourages them to pursue additional opportunities to engage in meaningful research activities at the undergraduate, postbaccalaureate, and professional level. To participate in the URC, students must be nominated by a UC San Diego faculty member. Student presenters will share the results of their research and respond to questions and comments from moderators and guests.
To nominate students for the URC, please complete this online form by Friday, March 7, and inform them of their nomination. The URH will then reach out to the student(s) with further instructions.
In addition, we hope you will consider serving as a roundtable moderator even if you do not nominate a student. To serve as a moderator, complete this registration form by Friday, March 28.
Your participation as a nominator, moderator, and/or attendee at this distinctive and welcoming academic gathering provides vital support to the prestige of undergraduate research at UC San Diego, and we appreciate your encouragement of this valuable program.
