UPDATED DATES: Nominations for 2025-2026 Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) Leadership Academy/La Academia De Liderazgo

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is now accepting applications for the 2025-26 Leadership Academy/La Academia de Liderazgo. The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion is accepting applications from interested individuals for the program. The program is open to all and aims to increase representation in leadership roles by preparing senior administrators at colleges and universities for such positions.

The program includes three in-person seminars and a series of webinars interspersed throughout a one-year period. The 2025-26 cohort will kick-off on October 8, 2025, with a virtual welcome and orientation followed by the first seminar held in Aurora, CO from October 29 - November 4, 2025, ahead of HACU’s 39th Annual Conference. The second seminar will be held mid/late April 2026 in Washington D.C. at the HACU Capitol Forum. The third seminar will be held internationally in early/mid summer 2026, location TBD.

If you would like to be considered for this opportunity, please complete all sections of this application no later than Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

UC San Diego will cover the cost of the registration fees for the applicant(s) selected for the program; the participant and/or participant’s home department is responsible for travel costs associated with the program. Individuals should work with their department to ensure they support their application and understand associated costs.
