UC San Diego Celebrates Women’s History Month Throughout March |
All faculty, staff and students are invited to participate in UC San Diego's Women’s History Month Celebration throughout March. This important observance and celebration will feature a range of programs focused on the many contributions of women in history, culture and society.
This year’s theme is “Empowerment Echoes: Celebrating Women Who Advocate and Educate,” and provides an opportunity to highlight the collective strength and influence of women who have dedicated their lives to education, mentorship and leadership. From classrooms to boardrooms and grassroots movements to global initiatives, women educators and leaders have played a pivotal role in inspiring across generations and cultivating transformative action.

In recognition of this annual event, two hours of administrative leave with pay have been approved for employees to attend UC San Diego Women’s History Month activities. Supervisors, upon request, may approve the use of such leave when the absence does not infringe upon the performance of required job duties or patient care.
